Hi friends,
Made it to Yazoo City for the night. I’m spending the night with my folks. Was going to spend the night with Patty and her folks but her dad had to be hospitalized with double pneumonia and Patty and her mom are staying at the hospital.
We are praying for full recovery. He has enough going on with the cancer treatments and Patty needs the rest. I’m on my way out to Tyler, TX, for VBS. Pray for kids to come! Pray for parents to see the need!
Blessings,
John

Pressing On
Yesterday Patty took her mom to the neurologist. He read her charts and the C.A.T. scan and is not overly concerned. Believes that at some point she had a mild stroke so he ordered further testing of a corotid artery sonogram and EKG to head off anything more serious should a problem be lurking.
A follow up appt has been set for a month from now. In the meantime, I’ll continue prep for the upcoming VBS in Tyler and the 2 kids camps that follow.
Blessings,
John
Patty arrived safely
Patty left this morning to drive to Yazoo City to take her dad to his first chemo appt and to follow up on her mom’s C.A.T. scan. The results should be in tomorrow as well so the game plan will be made once the call is received.
I’ll work here at the house and prepare for the upcoming bookings…VBS and 2 kids camps.
Thanks for the prayers as we take care of what God has given us.
Blessings,
John
Steadfast
It’s only been a few days at home and so many things are going on. I am preparing for an upcoming VBS and 2 different camps. Patty has been working diligently trying to finish the set up of Quick Books for our ministry. She is juggling that along with trying to help her parents. Her dad begins chemo on Monday and hopefully her mother’s C.A.T. scan today will find out the next step to deal with the headaches and loss of periphery in the right eye.
Pray that the balance can remain. Each thing on the agenda is important but can also serve as a distraction to keep us scattered as opposed to focused.
Blessings,
John
Home!
Whew! Pulled out of Tyler, TX, at 7:45 a.m. and pulled into our driveway at 7:30 p.m. It was a good weekend with a lot of miles in between.
Now, the next two weeks will be used to prepare for upcoming kids camps and I’ll take some time to review the VBS material.
Gonna be a good couple of weeks. Thanks for the continued prayers!
John
Great Day in Tyler
Wow, what an amazing day at Green Acres Baptist Church. The 2nd day of Freedom Celebration was a great success. There was a trailer/fish tank with enormous bass where people could practice casting and presenting lures. That was next to the car and bike show. Ooooooo, don’t have to tell you what that was like. There were 2 giant rooms filled with the blow up/ jumper thingys. About anything a child could imagine.
Then there were pony rides, clowns/ballooning, petting zoo, as well as multiple booths with corn dogs, sausage, funnel cakes, powerades, water, diet cokes and all for a dollar each.
They prepared food for 3000 and ran out. I was in the same tent as the tables for eating with my 150 chairs set up in front of the stage for me.
I geared my strongest evangelistic skit material for the 11:30 and 12:30 presentations knowing that would be the largest crowd.
Lot’s of spiritual seed planted.
The weather was spectacular. Obviously you know what we expected when we were booked for TX in July. But, remnants of Hurricane moved through yesterday afternoon/evening with torrential rains but today…cloudy all day and low 80’s with a steady breeze. Super!
Thank you for your prayers. Tomorrow we will go a special patriotic service at the church at 8:15 then head home immediately following the service.
Blessings,
John
Arrived
Hi gang,
Made it to Tyler. We’ve checked in and are on our own until in the morning when we’ll begin bright and early.
I will have 4 presentations of 20-25 minutes each with the ABC’s of salvation being given at the conclusion of each presentation. PLease pray for clarity in the message and strength of my voice and energy that I will be as effective as possible and that God will be glorified as many come to the Kingdom.
Blessings,
John
Tyler, 1st leg
Well, we made it to Yazoo City to spend the night. Ran through just a few small thunderstorms and now we’ll lay low tonight and head out tomorrow for Tyler, hopefully arriving mid afternoon.
Please pray for rest and safety as we head on.
Blessings,
John
