It was a fairly early day to have had the long day of yesterday. We had staff meeting this morning which takes up most of the morning the I began prep work on tonight’s special Christmas rehearsal.
The goal for this evening was to allow the choir members to discover the songs or parts of songs that they need to personally work on and for me to find the most crucial places and be able to work on them each Wednesday.
I put the lyrics to the songs chosen for tonights rehearsal up on the screen and asked everyone to not necessarily ignore the music in their hands but to test themselves periodically by closing their music and going by lyrics only.
I would say that over all we were very successful in accomplishing the goals I set. I feel we are in pretty good shape for November 1st but we know that December 9th’s first presentation will be here quickly enough.
I’m going to bed pretty soon as we have our usually busy Wednesday coming up!
