It’s been a very tiring and stressful day. We closed out services at Neshoba Baptist Church last night. There was a mix-up with the guest preacher and host pastor and he finished on Thursday when the revival was scheduled through friday so I handled the service last night.
Today we drove, trying to calculate breaks in the tremendous storms to come up to Pontotoc and in the meantime heard of the large devastating tornado in our home town of Yazoo City. It was very stressful having difficulty getting in touch with them but finally heard they were ok. It was very close to my mom and dads place but all is well. Patty’s folks are fine too but of course no electricity and only cell phones.
We were scheduled for a Block Party Kickoff to a crusade that begins tomorrow at West Heights Baptist so it was cancelled but we used that time to set up in the sanctuary for the coming services.
Pray for the people of Yazoo and pray for the lost in Pontotoc as we begin a very busy week.
