Mom and I headed out to run some errands. She needed to vote. Then after a few more stops, we drove out to the monument dealer and picked out the headstone for dad. Mission accomplished. It was a good morning.
This afternoon was used to begin emptying the closet of dad’s clothes. Mom wanted to go ahead and begin this process. Not really easy day but all in all, it was good.
Mom and my dad’s secretary for years went with me and Patty tonight. We went to a house for a fish fry before the service. At the service, I really didn’t feel as though I was very sharp. This has just been difficult. God is faithful, and I am so very thankful, but this has been hard. I pray that something I’ve said or done has broken through hearts. I know this meeting was a divine appointment, with dad’s death and all, but it hasn’t been easy.
Tomorrow we will head out once again then it will be an afternoon of closets and repairs of odds and ends. Then we will be closing the services at Cruger Baptist tomorrow night.
I appreciate the prayers during this difficult time.
