Sunday in Covington

It was a unique day today. Can I say that? Long story involved but things went pretty well for the start this morning. The people are wonderful, so kind, and responsive and I think we’ll have a good week.
Tonight’s crowd was down, according to the pastor, and he was disappointed. Obviously, we have nothing to base everything on being that it’s our first visit. We were really hoping to “hook” the kids this morning and by doing so, they would want to come back and would pester their parents. Then……we’ve got both. Well, it didn’t really work that way this morning if tonight’s crowd was any indication. We pray that will change tomorrow night as we hopefully add some visitors.
Apparently there is a big baseball tournament in the area and the hotel does not have a room for us tomorrow or Tuesday. We will be checking out tomorrow morning before going to the Association office to speak at the Monday morning pastor’s conference. Guess a couple of my “guys” will show up and we’ll have a bit of fun before going out to eat lunch. From there we will head to the hotel we reserved (this afternoon) about 8 miles away. Hey, such is life!
We sure appreciate your prayers as we continue this work!
